Each year LAS organises and runs a programme of art demonstrations, evaluations, workshops, exhibitions and visits to other centers.

LAS members contribute works to other galleries and exhibitions and run many art classes throughout Limerick City and County.

Each year it holds a fund raising event for a selected local charity that has included Animal Welfare, The Hospice, Pieta House, CSPP suicide prevention patrol, Marine Search and Rescue Service, Saint Vincent de Paul.

Roger McCarthy

Roger's works have been strongly influenced by his affinity with the Irish landscape and way of life. His subjects are varied - seascapes, bogs, churches, castles, harbours, street and market scenes. Having been a former all-Ireland GAA player and sportsman, sporting activities feature frequently in his work. Roger is an inspiring tutor and mentor for many experienced and aspiring artists.

Henry Morgan

Born in Adare, Co. Limerick in 1952, Henry Morgan studied at the Limerick School of Art and was awarded a scholarship to Oslo University. Henry has been inspired by the local landscape from the Burren to the Clare Glens and the coast of Clare and beyond. These rugged landscapes feature strongly in his work, and he continues to carve his niche among the higher echelons of Irish Art.
